Miniature Tip:
What is the sequence of steps to finish the interior of my dollhouse?

 

Here is the sequence our expert dollhouse-builder recommends.

  • Electrify (if desired).

  • Finish the ceilings. Ceiling paper works best to cover any electrical tape.
  • Finish the walls. Wallpaper covers the electical tape better than paint.

  • Install the flooring. We completely finish the floors outside the dollhouse.

  • Staircases are next. Finish these and then install them.

  • Finish, cut and install the trim. We follow this sequence when installing the trim:
    • Door and window trim
    • Crown molding
    • Chair railings
    • Baseboard.
